Bushfire

BUSHFIRE are back: after a few more quiet years and some line-up changes (Luis Jacobi on rhythm guitar and the return of Nic Kurz on bass), the band has returned to its roots and, in 2025, unleashed a powerful new full-length album with SNAKES BITE TALES. “This is who Bushfire are,” says JJ Koczan from webzine The Obelisk about the new opus. Stoner rock blog Desert Psychlist characterizes the album as “a heavy, hard-hitting release that sees the band lay down some of the best grooves they’ve recorded since their inception.” Following its live debut at Freak Valley Festival 2025, BUSHFIRE are now fired up to bring the new songs to the stage.

BUSHFIRE were founded in 2004 and, over the years, have made a name for themselves in the stoner, blues, and psychedelic scenes. Performances alongside scene heavyweights such as Orange Goblin, My Sleeping Karma, and 1000mods, as well as their electrifying shows at festivals such as Stoned From the Underground, Freak Valley, and Desert Fest Berlin — not to mention their own concerts and tours across half of Europe — have all contributed to their reputation as an outstanding live band and to their loyal fanbase.

They’ve achieved all of this without a label or management behind them — relying instead on the support of many friends and fans. The band stands for independence, passion, and freedom — DIY in its purest form. They craft, draw, design, think, saw, and even sign albums with their own blood.
