'JAZZ STORIES' in words & sound - from the Cardiff music scene to Brecon Jazz 1984

A special tribute to Welsh guitarist, Vic Parker
The session will feature words and music from Chris Hodgkins (trumpet) and James Chadwick, (guitar). We'll hear about the clubs of Cardiff's city and docklands areas of the 1970s and 80s and some of the key names and musicians, such as the late great Vic Parker, guitarist, who were playing at the time, others later becoming part of the 'origin story' of the Brecon Jazz Festival itself. Members of the audience will bring their own memories and connections, and we look forward to sharing this event and raising a glass to the Welsh jazz & music scene, both past and present.
