WCAS Field Trip: Brecksville Reservation
Location: Brecksville Reservation, 9000 Chippewa Creek Drive, Brecksville, Ohio 44141

Note: This walk includes stairs and dirt trails. We suggest wearing boots if it has been rainy. Also, most of this walk will be out in open sun; therefore, we suggest bringing a hat and/or sunscreen as well as plenty of water.

Description: We will meet at the nature center parking lot by the wood fence and then take some time to explore the wildflower field there that hosts bird species. We will then climb the scenic stairs to the Deer Lick Loop and explore the field/forest edge habitat at the Meadows Picnic Area. The group had some excellent species on this walk last summer like Eastern Towhee, Indigo Bunting, Northern Flicker, Chipping and Field Sparrow, Warbling Vireo, and Wood Thrush. Let’s see what we can find this year!
