A kétszeres Fonogram-díjas Kerekes Band útja a fülledt hangulatú moldvai, gyimesi táncházaktól a világzenei nagyszínpadokig több mint 20 évet ölel fel. Ezalatt a több mint két évtized alatt hozták létre azt a hangzást, amely összetéveszthetetlen a hazai és nemzetközi világzenei színtéren. A moldvai zene pulzálását idéző tempó kiegészülve a riffközpontú furulya és koboz témákkal, másnéven Ethno Funk.

Trupa Kerekes Band, dublu câștigătoare a premiului Fonogram, a parcurs un drum de peste 20 de ani, de la atmosfera încinsă a caselor de dans moldovenești și ghimeșene până la marile scene ale muzicii world. În această perioadă de peste două decenii, au creat un sunet inconfundabil atât pe scena muzicii world din Ungaria, cât și la nivel internațional. Ritmul inspirat de pulsația muzicii moldovenești, completat de teme centrate pe riff-uri de fluier și cobză, poartă numele de Ethno Funk.

The two-time Fonogram Award-winning Kerekes Band has journeyed from the sultry atmosphere of Moldavian and Gyimes folk dance houses to the grand stages of world music over the course of more than 20 years. During these two decades, they have crafted a sound that is unmistakable in both the Hungarian and international world music scenes. A rhythm echoing the pulse of Moldavian music, combined with riff-driven flute and koboz themes—this is what they call Ethno Funk.
