Paths of Resilience
Join us for Paths of Resilience, an evening of reflection, art, and community storytelling. Experience the return of R.G. Miller: Tsi Non:we Entewaha’hara’ne / Our Path Forward, a powerful installation within the newly restored former Mohawk Institute Residential School, and enjoy a community screening of VESS, by the Aunties Dandelion Collective and other short films.

Exhibit Opening:
R.G. Miller (Kanyen’kehà:ka / Mohawk) creates powerful works drawn from his 11 years as a child at the Mohawk Institute (1953–1964), confronting the lasting impact of that experience through art that speaks with honesty and courage.

Written and directed by Kahstoserakwathe Paulette Moore
Run time: 22 minutes
Synopsis: A Six Nations carpenter/philosopher transforms his considerable grief as he builds a home for a young family returning to their territory. The group forges new relationships filled with humour, Mohawk language, and the dynamic strength they all draw from their land and community.

Synopsis: The Ionkwahronkha’onhatie’ language group (Kanyen’kehà:ka/Mohawk) descends on Washington, DC for the 2025 Smithsonian Folklife Festival to explore a multicultural, multilingual space of collaboration, revitalization, and empowerment.
