The "Hardest Mile" is a popular fitness challenge consisting of four laps of a mile (or 400m) track, with each lap involving a different, grueling exercise: burpee broad jumps, walking lunges, bear crawls, and a final run to the finish. Originally conceived by Eric Hinman, this combination of high-intensity exercises is a test of both physical and mental endurance, designed to build grit and foster a sense of community among participants.
