Dive into the deeply meditative art of Temari-e, or Japanese embroidered thread balls as we delve into how this pattern can be a metaphor for Carl Jung's concept of "Squaring the Circle" -- a part of the personal journey we make towards self-enlightenment and improvement. In this 4-hour workshop, learn to construct, mark, and embroider a simple interlocking squares pattern. The first in a series of Temari-e workshops, this event teaches the foundational basics of this stunning and ancient art. This workshop is manually intensive and may not be appropriate for those with conditions that affect dexterity and hand strength and endurance.
