A restful hour immersed in sound surrounded by the forest yet cosy indoors, in a building nestled amongst the trees.
An immersive live sound scape creating a supportive space within which you may rest, sleep, dream, meditate, renew and rebalance. Come as you are, take what is needed.
The sound bath begins with a nature inspired guided meditation , offering you the opportunity to create intention for your practice, flowing into the sounds as you lay or sit comfortably on your mat, simply allowing the sounds to wash over you as you rest.
Instruments played can include gongs, drum, chimes, voice, monochord and singing bowls.

Considerations - A sound meditation is relaxing and restful for many guests; however, sound is powerful and has the potential to evoke memories and stir emotions. With this in mind, coming to a sound bath may not be suitable for you if you experience any of the following: sound induced epilepsy, have an implanted medical device including pacemaker, cochlear implant, or deep brain stimulator, acute/severe mental health concerns, are in crisis currently or experiencing active addiction, Meniere's disease, sound hypersensitivity or any health condition triggered by sound, or if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy.
It is also common to drift to sleep at times in a sound bath, but if you suffer from sleep apnoea a group session is likely not the best way to experience sound – in this instance please get in touch with the facilitator for a confidential discussion before you book.

Practical points:
*This is an indoor event, it is my most intimate venue in a small room, it may not be for you if you do not feel comfortable in smaller spaces. Max capacity is 10 people.
*Please arrive 15mins before the event start time to allow time to settle. No admittance beyond the event start time. Please allow sufficient time for your journey.
*Please bring your own mat, blanket and cusion for comfort, one base mat is provided.

Nicky from Sound and Ground is a qualified Forest Bathing guide, meditation and sound practitioner, with a focus on gentle, trauma considered practices.
Sound and Ground events are supportive spaces where all are welcome irrespective of gender, ethnicity, identity or religion. Come exactly as you are! All of my offerings are non-denominational, allowing you to experience them in any meaningful way to you as the individual that you are.
