Saturday June 14, 2025 schedule!�
We’ll begin our day with the Pride Rally at city hall starting at 11:30 with speeches from our chair, the mayor, and our grand marshal. Followed by the march from City Hall to Rideau park.��The Pride March is our annual event that invites allies and community to all come together and walk side by side in solidarity.��We will end the march at Rideau park where Pride in the Park will begin with Han, our�advocacy coordinator, as the emcee for the performances happening. Pride in the Park will be from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
�Lastly, we will have the After Pride Social @roadhouse where we will be celebrating Brandon Pride with performances from @hex and being together as a community!!��More about Pride in the Park and the After Pride Social coming soon...
These events will happen rain or shine (unless lightning and thunder, watch our social media pages for updates if weather changes). Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and good walking shoes!!�
NOTICE FOR THE PRIDE MARCH️
We encourage the community to show up as themselves for the Pride March instead of under a banner of a business or organisation. In recent years we have asked that there be no signs or banners related to businesses, corporations, collectives, organizations, and non-pride related personal promotion be present at our Pride March.
�Thank you to the community for continuing to respect this. The first Pride March was a riot with community and allies walking side-by-side and thank you for helping us keep this tradition.
Since 2015, Brandon Pride has always held a Rally followed by a March on foot to respect the first gay pride marches in the 1970s for gay rights. Rights which many 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals are still fighting for and defending to this day. Instead we encourage signs that uplift messages of celebration for marriage equality, for the protection of trans rights and gender-affirming healthcare, and of 2SLGBTQIA+ joy and triumph that showcase the core of why we continue the tradition of a Pride March and not a Pride Parade in Brandon.
