042 Nights: Back to School Edition

Join us for the final summer edition of 042 Nights as we celebrate the new school year with an evening full of live music, family activities, shopping, and community fun.
Live Entertainment
- DJ AJC will perform from 6:00 to 9:00 PM outside the BMSA Event Office
- Mike the Party Guy will be DJing on Timber Street
- Live music will be featured at The Gallows and on the B3 Patio
- Mason Lasseter will perform in the Courtyard outside Southern Sweetness
Brandon High School Performances
- At 6:30 PM, the Brandon High School Drumline will kick off the evening with a mini pep rally in front of Genna Benna’s
- Performances will follow by the BHS Dance Team and Varsity Cheer Squad
The BHS Dance Team will be selling hair tinsel
The BHS Cheerleaders will lead the Glow Back to School Dance Party on the Peach Tree Assisted Living Dance Floor
Glow items will be available inside the BMSA Event Office, provided by Peach Tree Assisted Living
Family Activities Provided by Local Churches
- Free activities and treats will be available thanks to the following churches: Nativity Lutheran Church, Good Hope MB Church, Brandon Presbyterian Church, Crossgates United Methodist Church, Grace Baptist Church, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, New Vision Fellowship, Pilgrim Rest MB Church, Meadow Grove Baptist Church, Brandon Methodist Church, and Crossgates Church.
Activities include:
- Face painting
- Popcorn and cotton candy
- Stitch character encounter
- Bounce houses and obstacle courses
- Dunking booth
- Train rides
... And much more!
Downtown Highlights
- Character encounters will take place inside the BMSA Event Office at 137 W Government Street
- A food vendor area on Mary Ann Drive, across from Green Floral, will offer grab-and-go options from participating downtown restaurants. NOTE: Full restaurant menus will be available inside each physical location.
- Brown Bottling will offer Bubblr samples outside the BMSA Office
- 25+ Farmers and local honey vendors will be set up, along with artisan and market vendors in the parking lot in front of Vintiques and Genna Benna's.
Retail Promotions and Pop-Ups. All downtown retailers will be open until 8:00 PM.
- The Beach Look will host a piercing and hat bar pop-up
- The Blush Leopard will offer 10% off purchases of $50 or more and debut their new hat line, Leopard Lids
- Myrick Interior Design will offer 10% off the entire store
