Worship for Anniversary Sunday 2025 (June 8th)

A Service of Word and Table based on Acts 2:1-21 and John 14:8-17

Do you ever feel drained in your ministry. As Jesus prepared to leave His followers, He must have felt tired as well. Three short years of world-changing ministry will do that. But He knew His followers would soon face trials of their own, and He wasn’t about to abandon them. This week, we hear about the promise and the fulfillment of the Holy Spirit in our midst. What better Sunday to celebrate our anniversary, both the 64th anniversary of Emmanuel United Church in Brampton, the 100th anniversary of the United Church of Canada, and the birthday of the Church which is the Body of Jesus Christ (we won’t talk about the age on that one).

We will celebrate communion as part of this service.
