We're hosting a pop-up maker space at Algoma University, with our partners from the National Centre for Excellence on Immersive Tech.
We are hosting 2 sessions on Monday, October 6th:
11am-2pm
3pm-6pm
We invite you to come for 60 minutes or more within that time frame.
Learn about augmented reality, make art with materials provided and our beta software tools. And stick around to tell us what you liked/disliked, and what you'd like to see us develop next!
LitKits are no-code STEM maker kits that teach about digital technology. Using augmented reality to pair paper with pixels, our analog activities have a digital layer of storytelling and instruction that guide you through a process of exploration, creation and play.
Come and explore our AR-powered collectibles that take you on a journey through space and time to put the development of media technology into context. Get inspired and create animated GIFs, bespoke emoji, generative AI, and augmented reality by using our beta apps. Use our analog activities to support you creative process and enhance your digital creations.
All materials provided. No previous experience required. All you need is a mobile phone.
The event is an opportunity for us to share what we're doing with young adults, emerging creatives, curious technologists and makers of all kinds ages 13+. We're interested in gathering your feedback about our products through short surveys and interviews. This event will be recorded and requires the signing of a media release form upon entering the space.
