The Burning Glass is Nausicaä’s brand new collection of songs based on the poetry of Judith Wright. Throughout November, he’ll share these new works in places dear to Judith’s heart: the New England Tablelands, Braidwood, Brisbane, and Mount Tamborine.
For this special intimate performance, Nausicaä has the pleasure of joining forces with the neighbourly refrains of Braidwood local, Lily Morris.
Recalling the warmth and intimacy of Paul Simon and Nick Drake, Nausicaä sets the captivating poems of Judith Wright into musical motion. After showcases alongside the likes of Tiny Ruins and Angie Hart (Frente), his latest album, The Burning Glass, is ready to breathe new life into Wright’s timeless verse.
Lily Morris is a singer-songwriter based on Walbanga country (Braidwood, NSW) penning songs about her beloved hometown, the ins-and-outs of daily life, and the thoughts that hitch through her head at night.
