The Crafty Café will be open on Sat 9 August 2025 from 10am-2pm at The Venue, St Andrew's Oakenshaw-cum-Woodlands. Crafting is optional. Our Crafting Theme for August is: Bag-making/get to know your sewing machine - limited spaces available, booking essential.
We will be making a bag using the "Mors" sustainable bag pattern. Cost is £7.50. The pattern will be provided along with a choice of fabrics for you to use, however you are free to bring your own fabric if you prefer. You will also need a sewing machine and a basic sewing kit - either bring your own or you can book one of our sewing machines to use whilst at the Crafty Café. TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT ON THE DAY PLEASE MESSAGE ME ASAP TO BOOK ONE OF OUR MACHINES.
Our Crafty Café is a community space offering a warm friendly atmosphere where you can catch up with friends, meet new people, enjoy a cuppa and some cake and you have the option to join in some crafting if you wish. We have so much on offer there is bound to be something to interest you!
As ever feel free to bring your own craft project if you prefer. If you know someone who'd like to pop in for a cuppa, why not invite them along.
Wyke Food Bank drop-off basket will be available - store cupboard, toiletries etc please.
