Talk: Civi Splendour - The Story of Wiltshire's Old Town Halls
The fourth talk in our series is by James Holden on Thursday 14th August; Civic Splendour – The Story of Wiltshire’s Old Town Halls.
Town Halls are amongst our finest buildings. This talk will describe not only the buildings themselves but the rivalry and pursuit of power which led to their creation.
James Holden has written extensively on Wiltshire building types.
The talk takes place at the United Church on Thursday 14th August, 10 St Margaret’s Street, BoA. Doors open at 7pm for refreshments (included in ticket price), and talk commences at 7.30pm.
Book sales after the talk include the museum’s latest publication, the report of the excavation of the Roman Villa.
Tickets: £ 7 – Museum members and Preservation Trust members, £ 9 – non – members.
Tickets on sale from 31st July and are available from Ex Libris bookshop (Shambles) cash only, or at the door, cash or card.
