Sun 5/11, Mother's Day Weekend: Tufting Bootcamp: DIY Rugs & Wall Art with Kelly

You've all seen the entrancing videos of tufting rugs online. Tufting is amazing, but can also be very technical, expensive and easy to make mistakes that discourage you if you don't learn the basics. So let us help! In this super fun, hands on workshop, you will learn the basics of working with a tufting gun to create you own rug or wall hanging. You will learn how to use the power tufting gun focusing on the cut pile style/ method. We will show you all the basics needed to get started and have taken out the hard work of sourcing materials and supplies.Over 6.5 hours in class, you will learn how to stretch a frame, tufting tips and trick, show to fix some common mistakes trimming your rug with scissors & clippers for definition and pop in your design. We will demo how to glue up your rug once complete and send you home with a small container of rug adhesive & a scrapper to do it at home.

ALL STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO RENT STUDIO TIME AFTER CLASS TO USE OUR TOOLS & CONTINUE RUG MAKING ON THEIR OWN.
