Hello everyone! Since the last 5 years went so well I have decided to host a poker run again in our pool (pool 3). Come celebrate my birthday by helping me raise money for ARDC. Here are the details...
Also if anyone needs to tie up over night due to making a long trip we can accommodate that as well (just let us know ahead of time)
R&R Docks 2025 Poker Run
Rules
We will be implementing a few minor rules to make sure everyone continues to have fun and be safe.
1. Water ballons are to be thrown only! No slingshots or other devices.
2. No swamping or circling boats please just passing and throwing. (If you have a battle pre-arranged with someone thats fine)
3. No high powered water cannons.
These are being implemented to make sure damage/injuries do not occur and it stays safe and fun.
If caught breaking these minor rules you will forefit your hands!

Registration
$20 per hand (if you want to just hang at the docks but still play you can.) You can buy as many hands as you would like.
50/50 raffle tickets will be available during registration and throughout the day. The winner will be pulled after the poker run winners are announced. 5 tickets for $5, 12 tickets for $10, and/or 25 tickets for $20
Registration time starts at 12pm, poker run starts at 1pm.
Please Print your name on the registration sheet.
Each participant gets a baggie with number and name printed with waterproof sharpie
Each boat captain gets a map showing poker stops
The stops on the maps are in different orders, please follow the order of stops on your map to help prevent congestion at the stops.
The Run
The run itself consists of 5 stops.
At each stop you will be given a card in a sealed envelope, DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPE.
Place the sealed envelope into your baggie and reseal the baggie to prevent water from damaging your cards/envelopes.
While water balloons and guns are allowed (even encouraged) on the poker run, please refrain from squirting/hitting people while they are receiving cards at the stops. Also please watch your wake.
The Turn In
After you have your 5 cards you can turn them in at R&R Docks.
At this time, you may discard up to 3 cards per hand and purchase additional cards -- $2 per card OR 3 cards for $5.
Joker is wild and gets automatic $10 winner.
All hands must be turned in by 5PM. (or at least standing in line to turn in.)
Due to the number of decks used for the poker run the top hands are a little different than normal. The top hand for our purposes will be 5 jokers, followed by 5 of a kind, royal flush, a straight flush. After that normal poker hand rankings will follow. with natural hands beating equal hands that are using wild cards.
The top 3 hands will receive winnings based on the total money collected. The split will be 30% to first place, 12.5% to second, and 7.5% to third. The remaining 50% of the proceeds will be donated to ARDC to help support continued operation of the Locks on the Upper Allegheny.
Miscellaneous
After the run there will be food available for a small donation at R&R Docks.
There will also be music provided by DJELO.
