⛑️The Role Of The Body In Spiritual Awakening
Famous Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was quoted as saying "You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience." Although this is a true statement, what most people focus on is trying to get rid of the human experience of pain and loss to only experience the spiritual which is seen as "good" or "better". How about looking at it this way. If I'm spirit choosing this human experience, then don't I also have the ability to choose how I experience my human experience? If I'm playing as if I'm a body but not a body then the mind MUST have the power to experience the body in any way no matter what the body seems to express. The human experience is one filled of comparisons. Good bad. Right wrong. Peaceful painful. This is the system and parameters of a body experience set up by the ego to experience the opposite of what you are which is eternally peaceful and ever constant. The body is NEVER constant for very long and always unreliable and unpredictable simply because of its temporary nature and frail foundation. Misuse of the body as a spiritual tool is common and understandable but Tuesday we will discuss the signs we are using the body for what it can not do or provide.

Freedom must be impossible as long as you perceive a body as yourself. ²The body is a limit. ³Who would seek for freedom in a body looks for it where it can not be found. ⁴The mind can be made free when it no longer sees itself as in a body, firmly tied to it and sheltered by its presence. ⁵If this were the truth, the mind were vulnerable indeed! (ACIM, W-199.1:1-5)
The body is not a power in itself but a reflection of the choices you have made in your mind so to be misguided by the body is a common distractive device the ego implores you with. Lets discuss and take this deeper on the most misunderstood symbol of the dream.
