Do You LOVE the World You See?
Heaven On Earth
I was reading an email from a fellow ACIM facilitator this week. Jon Mundy is a well established fellow student and teacher. He asked a very important question that when answered reveals our true commitment. Are you happy in your/the world? Jon followed that up with;
Since we must ultimately decide for Heaven, why don’t we do it now? Why wait for Heaven? Why wait to be happy? All anyone needs to do is to stop the recalcitrant resistance to God’s love, i.e., to remove the blocks to the awareness of Love’s Presence. All that is required is a simple change of mind – and that is the miracle. When the mind changes, everything changes. It’s like an alcoholic giving up alcohol. One little change, and a willingness to stick with it, and everything changes. Remembering always, the world is nothing but what we make it out to be. It is the witness to our state of mind, an outside picture of an inward condition.
Until we reach home (heaven) in permanence, we remain at choice. Will I be tempted by some egoic insanity, or can I maintain equilibrium, balance, and harmony? While this is a world of seeming alternatives, Heaven remains a perfect state. It is all about vision. Not sight. It is all about seeing rightly. It is all about a willingness to let all things be exactly as they are. I do not have to change anything or anyone. All I need to do is just love whomever or whatever I might see. How simple is the truth of being free. The question is not difficult but rather recognizing what you have decided is more important that Heaven right now. To see that, meaning the choice for Heaven here and now, is a choice we all are making every day. What is more important to you than Heaven and choosing it now? Tuesday we will look at this Heaven On Earth concept and help walk each other home to its awareness.
