Join us at Lavender Hill Farm for an introduction to the ancient art of Mehndi!
In this workshop, our class will learn what henna is, where it comes from, and how it is used today. We will also learn the steps to prepare natural henna paste, make a henna cone, and practice applying it to the body. After attending this workshop, participants will have a new appreciation for the history, culture, and beauty of henna body art, as well as the skills to adorn themselves and others!
This workshop is $48 per person for ages 10 and over. All supplies are provided, including henna cones and a practice sheet to take home.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the farm. Pre-Registration is required. Tickets are available for purchase up until 48 hours prior or until sold out.

About the Instructor
Amy Elizabeth White is an Artist & Herbalist based in Harbor Springs. Originally from Rochester, Michigan, it was after moving to Brooklyn, New York that she discovered henna. With an eye on traditional technique, and an emphasis on detail, Amy has innovated her own original work to harmonize with the individual aesthetic of each client. As a working artist, she has had the opportunity to offer henna for many diverse occasions all over the country including bridal henna, maternity belly blessings, cultural celebrations, private events, markets and festivals - one of her favorites is Blissfest! It is her intention to share everything she has learned over the last 10 years with others who are curious about the art, or want to take their skills to the next level and become a professional!
