Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, is a state of conscious deep sleep. Meditation maintains a waking state of consciousness with gentle mental focus, allowing thoughts, emotions, sensations, and imagery to naturally arise and subside. Conversely, Yoga Nidra transcends the waking and dreaming states to reach deep sleep while preserving awareness. This represents one of the deepest possible states of relaxation with maintained consciousness. Yoga Nidra offers benefits far exceeding simple relaxation; experiential understanding often surpasses the limitations of verbal explanation.
This session will commence with body awareness exercises incorporating breathwork. Following a period of stillness, comfortably positioned in a hammock or on a yoga mat, participants will be guided into a deeply relaxing state through sound healing and a meditative experience. Each session is scheduled to coincide with The Moon.

NOTE: The studio is equipped with blankets and props; however, feel free to bring personal items such as pillows, your favorite blanket, or an cuddle bear to enhance your comfort.
In a single Yoga Nidra session, it is known to induce the profound rest equivalent to three REM sleep cycles. Tea & Yums will be provided after to further awaken the senses. Nidra practitioners maintain a state of subtle sensory withdrawal (Pratyahara), internalizing four senses while remaining receptive to auditory instruction.
