Free Aboriginal Raffia Weaving Workshop @ Bowral Uniting Church

Join us for a free Raffia Weaving Workshop at Bowral Uniting Church!

This gentle, hands-on weaving workshop is designed to help our older generations connect at this intergenerational gathering. Come along to create, learn, and enjoy each other’s company.

You’ll learn how to make a small basket or a simple woven circle that can be turned into a key tag, pendant, or even earrings, depending on your creativity and time.

Thanks to local Aboriginal Community Development Officer Nichole Harper you will hear more about the local Aboriginal community here on Gundungurra Country.

Everything is supplied and no experience is needed. You’ll also get a chance to see some of the materials traditionally used in Aboriginal weaving,
