Join us for a special Grower info session looking at current biodiversity legislation and what this means for farmers and land managers across the Southern Highlands and surrounds.
Experienced and locally-based consulting ecologist, Rebecca Hogan, will talk through some of the common terms and concepts set out under the legislation, including an explanation of the Biodiversity Values Map and the Native Vegetation Regulatory Map which have been the focus of recent media attention.
Rebecca has 30 years of experience working with NSW and Commonwealth biodiversity legislation, primarily across the Greater Sydney, Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands regions. Rebecca was a former President of the Ecological Consultants Association of NSW, and is currently on the State Agricultural & Environmental Committee for the Country Women’s Association of NSW.
Whether you’re a large-scale producer or manage a smaller property, this is a valuable opportunity to stay informed and ask questions in a practical, farmer-focused setting.
The goal of the event will be to demystify what this legislation means in practice — particularly for productive farms — and help farmers make confident, informed decisions.
🥧Free event including a Snake Creek Cattle Co. hot pie!
