This is our kickoff meeting for the 25/26 school year. Our group is growing and we are so excited to get to know lots of new friends. We are planning to follow a curriculum with some thrown in bonus fun for the group. We are so excited to get started!
Meeting 1 Agenda
2:00 - 2:15 Introductions / Review agenda
- [ ] Everyone will be introduced and will tell the group their favorite color.
2:15 - 2:30 Open mic (kids will be given the opportunity to come up and answer the question of the day.)
- [ ] Question of the day - What’s one thing you wish you knew how to do?
2:30 - 2:45 Team building activity
- [ ] Back to back drawing activity
- [ ] Team Maze Drawing
2:45 - 3:30 Curriculum Activities
- [ ] Presentation on communication fundamental terms
- [ ] Watch the 1999 NSDA
- [ ] Have the children break into groups and hand out tongue twisters. Let them practice in groups and then groups take turns saying the tongue twisters.
3:30 - 4:00 Table Topics
- [ ] Students will stay in groups and given table topics cards to discuss with each other.
