About the event

Modern Day Castaway

Survivalist Michael Atkinson (@Outback Mike) places himself in the historic shoes of an 1846 shipwrecked sailor. His goal? To build a dugout canoe and sail it 1500km up the Great Barrier Reef to a historic rescue haven on Cape York. Wild seas, starvation and crocodiles are just the beginning.

This story will be presented at Bowen State High School as a film on Monday 14th of July at 6:30pm in McKenna Hall.
