We are SO excited to bring the AKC Fit Dog classes to Top Dog and Westmoreland mall!!
In the near future, we will be creating a club for the Greensburg area for all AKC fit Club Members to join!!
This Level one fit Club class is a six week program that cost $200 per dog.
The AKC FIT DOG Instructor course strives to keep both human and dog participants safe. For that reason, dogs should wear buckle collars or martingales. The course is positive reinforcement based. There should be no prong collars or e-collars used in AKC FIT DOG training classes.
Prerequisites to join this class :
All dogs must:
Be at least six months of age
Must have PAL number or AKC number or registered with AKC canine partners program.
This course is designed to teach you how to learn Foundation fitness skills and how to perform them for both you and your dog.
This course is specifically designed to inspire dog owners to engage in Fitness related activities with their dogs while minimizing their risk of injury or harm due.
This course is not designed to work with dogs in need of rehab rehabilitation. It’s also not designed to teach you a new workout routine with your dog. It’s specifically designed only for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries and conditions.
If you are in doubt about your dogs physical capabilities of this class, you can request a letter of support from your local veterinarian to see if they would agree with your dog taking this class clearing your dog for this class and regular exercise.

This class is non refundable and non transferable to other classes or training. Weekly homework assignments will be issued for each student.
The 6th and final week is graduation. The paperwork must be mailed in by the clients to receive your AKC national certification for this course. Cost and fees for ALC are not included.

This class will be held inside of the Top Dog training center at Westmoreland mall, we are in space number 276 on the casino side of the mall directly next to the armed forces center.
The mall is dog friendly so you’re welcome to enter anywhere however, we will post a video to show you the easiest place to park in the discussion portion of this event.
