“Saxocracy” is a new nine-piece band formed in late 2024. It was inspired by the Charlie Parker tribute band ‘Supersax’, which performed harmonised arrangements of Parker’s improvised solos using five saxophones, accompanied by a three-piece rhythm section, to which they have added guitar and trumpet, showcasing the sounds of the saxophone section, some of the "Supersax" catalogue, and a variety of original pieces arranged specifically for this line up; all with plenty of opportunity to highlight the improvisation skills of their soloists!
Tickets now available, including EARLY-BIRD discounts only £8 (until 1st Oct!), and Under-16s entry by donation (£0<)...
