EmpowerHer Women's Self-Defense Seminar & Fundraiser

Join us at Epiphany School for an inspiring women’s self-defense seminar led by our head women's coach and girls from Level Ground’s Student Trainer Program. Participants will learn practical movements to defend themselves in a variety of scenarios while connecting with a supportive community of women. After class, enjoy refreshments and conversation.

This special fundraiser benefits girls at Level Ground. Proceeds directly support opportunities to cultivate skills for them to lead on the mat, in the classroom, in the workplace, and in their communities. Don’t miss this chance to feel stronger, be empowered, and give back!

LG Girls have had the opportunity to train their peers, community adults, and most recently, Mayor Michelle Wu!

In Summer 2025, 50 Student Trainers - which included the largest number of girls to date - advanced through 160 hours of intensive programming at Level Ground. This year’s highlights included:
✨ A kickoff visit from Mayor Michelle Wu and Councilman John FitzGerald
🥋 A seminar led by 26-time UFC veteran Joe Lauzon
🎉 Our Student Showcase, where youth demonstrated their skills as entrepreneurs, martial arts instructors, and personal trainers

Throughout the summer, Student Trainers participated in daily modules focused on:

-Academic Learning — with a focus on business, math, and ELA

-Fitness Professional Training — hands-on job training as personal trainers
-Client Management — launching and running a business, specifically as trainer and gym managers
-Nutrition — learning healthy habits to fuel athletic and personal success
-Social Emotional Learning — building resilience, confidence, and teamwork with -Martial Arts — technical development and leadership on the mats

This event will support girls to advance in our school year Student Trainer Program.
