Canadian Pianist Sunny Lin Kai Zhang 張霖鍇, the second prize winner of 2024 Fou Ts’ong International Concerto Competition, will perform on Thursday 8/21, 7:30 pm at NEC’s Williams Hall as part of the 2025 Summer Concert Series at NEC 夏季系列音乐会. Sunny Lin Kai Zhang won second prize in the Canadian Music Competition, received RCM’s Gold Medal for the highest grade in the LRCM certificate and became a Steinway Young Artist at the age of 16. He is a student of Hung-Kuan Chen at the Juilliard School. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, among others foremost venues in the world. Recent highlights include a sold-out performance of Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra at the Orpheum in 2024.
