Annual Youth Fishing Derby

The Town’s fishing derby will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Town’s Hawkins Grove fishing pond located behind the Boonsboro Library on Potomac Street for children ages 1 to 12 years old.

Free Admission!!

Ages 1 - 6 years old
Registration from 7:30 to 8:30 AM
Fishing from 8:30 to 10:30 AM

Ages 7 - 12 years old
Registration from 10:00 to 11:00 AM
Fishing from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

*Fishing poles will be provided for any child who doesn't have one.

Hawkins Grove Pond REGULATIONS:
This is a Maryland Nontidal Sport Fishing Pond. Special provisions enforced by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources limits fishing in this area to persons that are:
Handicapped and/or Blind
Children ages 16 and Under
Adults age 65 and Older
