We are back for Alberta Open Farm Days this year with a new twist and a new vision. This event will look very different from previous years. We will be providing wagon farm tours both Saturday & Sunday (August 16 & 17, 2025). If you plan to attend, please register (link attached) to secure a spot, as we have a maximum of 40 people per time slot. It’s FREE & each tour will last 45 minutes.
Tours will depart at: 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:30 pm
The theme for this year’s Open Farm Day event is “Water, the lifeblood of every farm”. This theme could not be more fitting with the drought our farm and others across the prairies are suffering this year. The worst drought in the Bonnyville area since 2002. You will learn about the importance of water on our farm. How and why our solar pumping system is used to water our cattle from a well. How the drought is impacting the farm. What are the daily water needs for cattle. And, a unique story on the ability/gift of well-wishing. You will get to meet our cows with their babies, watch them graze, and interact with each other.
Our farm store will be open, so please bring a cooler if you’d like, since we’ll have beef available for purchase! ☺️
No pets and no smoking are permitted. We invite you to bring water and snacks if you’d like to enjoy them on your tour. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes, as there will be a biosecurity disinfectant foot dip.
