ABC's of Managing Back to School Stress

CDA has partnered up with Britelife Kids to bring a workshop that will prepare you and your child on how to manage the stress of going back to school.

Heading back to school can bring up a mix of emotions from excitement to nervousness for both kids and parents. Join us for an in-person workshop focused on recognizing and responding to stress, anxiety and worry as your child transitions back into the classroom. Children are also welcomed to attend this event.

During this workshop, you'll learn how to:

• Tell the difference between stress, anxiety and worry.
• Understand how stress affects your child's brain and body
• Identify common back-to-school triggers
• Teach your child 5 simple ways to cope
• Learn 5 supportive strategies as a caregiver
