Next Sunday July 6 I am delighted to welcome back 5Rhythms teacher Rivka Worth from Melbourne who brings decades of teaching experience and weaves stunning musical journeys to inspire your dance. Devoted to supporting movement and authentic expression for all bodies, Rivka weaves community in sacred dance, honouring place, body and the divine. To complete our journey, Rivka will be joined by the gifted Lucia Swift, who will offer a nourishing sound meditation with crystal bowls and a luscious soundscape, inviting deep rest and integration after the dance.

Dancing with our own internal storms, sunshowers & rainbows. Just like the outdoor weather, our internal weather environment can sometimes be predicted and sometimes just catches us by surprise. The one thing we do know, is nothing ever stays the same and it continues to keep changing. Radiance Sundays is a weekly Conscious dance class created by 5Rhythms teacher Michelle Mahrer that has been running for 15 years. In the spirit of Sunday mornings, Radiance Sundays is a healing space for rejuvenation and renewal. Its a welcoming space to come home to your body, awaken your heart and uplift your spirit. Be supported and inspired by a beautiful community, uplifting vibes, and great music. No dance experience is necessary.
Michelle Mahrer is now based in the northern rivers, and will be offering the class for 2 Sundays per month. The other Sundays will be offered by guest conscious dance teachers.
BIOGRAPHY
Rivka Honeybee Worth (BA Dance) is a trauma-informed, Nomadic Somatic, 5Rhythms Teacher, Somatic Movement Educator (BMC), The 360 Emergence Apprentice, The Work that Reconnects Facilitator and DJ. She runs an online community dance leadership training program combined with DJ Training and facilitation for community dance facilitators. She is founder of Eco Soma, the ecosomatic body-nature connection, in which she is passionately dedicated to connecting us back to nature through our own embodiment practice. Rivka has decades of experience working in Disability Youth Arts, Community Cultural Development practice, improvisation practice and early childhood expressive arts. She was previous artistic director of the following companies with and for artists with disabilities; Restless Dance Theatre, Boilover Inclusive Performance Ensemble, Founder Artistic Director of Company CHAOS and StArts with D Performance Ensemble. Rivka has directed work for Weave Movement Theatre and worked with Incite Arts and Walpiri Youth on Southern Ngalia Intergenerational First Nations women’s dance camps. She has worked as a facilitator for ArtPlay for babies and young children delivering several dance and movement workshops. Her current long-term project is Co-Director of ‘In Your Arms’, a sensory performance project tending to the relationship between new babies and the natural world. Rivka thrives on bringing humans together in ceremonial dance, where liberation, connection and transformation are individually and collectively catalysed through the dance. Rivka has worked extensively in Community Dance, Community Cultural Development, Improvisation Practice, Somatic Practice and as a professional Choreographer, Artistic Director and Production Manager. Rivka’s focus is on cultivating a symbiotic relationship with Nature through Eco Soma™, Ecosomatic practice.

Lucia Swift is a Sound and Music Facilitator with over 13 years’ experience working with individuals and communities through sound, voice, and vibration. Having walked closely with Indigenous cultures in Central and South America and now living in Central Australia for the past nine years, Lucia is dedicated to honouring sacred traditions and the deep healing power of song. She creates inclusive, ritual-rich spaces that invite authentic expression, insight, and connection. Lucia also leads annual Connection to Country women’s pilgrimages in Central Australia, weaving her life’s work into experiences that honour traditional owners and support cultural awareness, healing, and decolonisation.

Michelle Mahrer is an embodiment mentor, 5Rhythms dance teacher, dance therapist and an award winning film maker. She is one of the pioneers of Conscious Dance in Australia and the director of Radiance Dance 5Rhythms a vibrant dance community in Sydney which has been running for 15 years years. She is passionate about the healing and transformative power of dance and has been leading dance classes and workshops in Sydney, Melbourne & internationally for the past 25 years. She has made numerous films about dance including all of Gabrielle Roth's teaching videos and "Dances of Ecstasy" a sensory journey into the world of trance and ecstasy experienced through dance and rhythm
