Beginners Portrait Photography

This will be a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop that will help you take better portraits by focusing on the things that matter — good light, strong backgrounds, and a genuine connection with your subject.

You'll learn how to find flattering natural light, choose backgrounds that bring your images to life, and give clear direction so your subject feels at ease, knows what to do with those "oh so awkward hands", and looks their best. We'll keep it fun, hands-on, and practical, with simple techniques you can start using right away, whether you're photographing friends and family or building up your portfolio.
