STAND UP COMEDY: John Michael Bond

John-Michael Bond was raised to be a minister but found himself as a touring comedian after several deacons complained. Cutting his teeth in punk clubs and dive bars, Bond mixes brash cynicism with outside the box optimism. Drawing from years of marriage, brawls, and odd conversations, he’s a LED light in these dark times.

Originally from Chattanooga, TN, he is the former co-host of the Who's Your God Podcast alongside Amy Miller and Steve Hernandez. He’s featured for Sam Tallent, Brandie Posey, Louie Katz, Kate Willet, and Doug Stanhope.

Creative Loafing magazine say his comedy covers “the arduous yet worthwhile pursuit of love, rationalizing vices with how they impact relationships, the wackiness of death, and we should be nicer.” He feels that’s accurate.
