This field trip is for people who took the April 23 class and it will help you hone your birding by ear skills in the field. Focusing on the calls and songs of spring birds in the Boise Foothills, we will take a short walk practicing sensory awareness. Participants will learn and practice identifying birds by sound, locating birds by sound, and being present in nature.
This trip will be on dirt walking paths and is open to all skill levels.
Must be 16 or older to participate. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.
Time: 8-10:00 am
Meeting Place: Grove Trailhead in Hulls Gulch
What to bring: Layers for weather and your binoculars. Please also consider having the Merlin Bird ID App downloaded on your phone. No dogs.
Restrooms: Restrooms are up the road at the Foothills Learning Center trailhead.
