As we see the beginning of a new school year approaching, we want to invite you to participate in our annual prayer event called CONVERGE.
On Sunday, August 10 at 6:00 PM, we will gather at every school campus throughout Spartanburg County to pray for our students, parents, educators, and school staff. With nearly 100 schools in our county, it’s important that everyone take part to cover each campus in prayer. It’s a simple act, but one that carries immeasurable power and significance.
Here’s how you can be a part of this meaningful event:
1. Go to firstnorth.org/converge to register, or sign up on the large Converge poster in the foyer this Sunday.
2. Select the school campus you will be praying at.
3. Show up at your chosen campus by 5:45 PM on Sunday, August 10.
4. Join us via livestream on your smartphone at 6:00 PM for a brief time of guided prayer led by our pastor.
For those who may not use smartphones, we have you covered. We will send out text prompts, or you can pick up a printed prayer guide in the foyer on Converge Sunday.
This is something everyone can do, and it will have a lasting impact on our schools and community. The power of united prayer is incredible, and I know that together, we can lift up our schools in a way that will be felt throughout the entire school year.
