In the fire service, we train for a lot of things — but nothing can prepare you for the moments that break your heart and show you what real strength looks like. The last two weeks have done just that.
Every August, we host our annual fundraiser to support our small but mighty volunteer fire department here in Sisterdale. It’s a tradition that helps keep us equipped, trained, and ready to serve.
But this year is different.
After weeks of boots on the ground, serving alongside responders from across the country…
After seeing families in tears and neighbors clinging to hope…
After watching our community show up with food, supplies, and open arms…
We knew this year couldn’t just be about us.
It had to be about ALL of us.
So, in that spirit, we’re donating our profits from this year’s fundraiser to two incredible organizations helping our Hill Country neighbors heal and rebuild:
👉 The Community Foundation – coordinating critical flood relief and long-term recovery efforts in the hardest hit areas.
👉 CAMP (Children's Association for Maximum Potential) – a summer camp in Center Point who, despite having lost the majority of their activities along the river, has continued to provide meaningful programs for adults and children with special needs and the families who love them.
Because in Sisterdale, we believe service doesn’t stop when the water recedes. We show up. We adapt. And when the mission changes — our heart doesn’t.
We’ve never been more proud to wear this patch on our sleeve.
And we’ve never been more proud to serve this community.
