Luminous Landscapes: Fireflies in the Heart of Texas

Join us for a captivating exploration of Texas' enchanting fireflies, where you'll discover the diverse species that light up the Lone Star State's wild landscapes.

Ben Pfeiffer, founder of Firefly Conservation & Research, will lead a highly educational and fun talk on the types of fireflies (Lampyridae) found in Texas and across the US, followed by a firefly walk on Cibolo Creek. Perfect for kids and adults, you'll learn to identify Texas species of fireflies and practice catching them. Grab a net and prepare to have some fun!
