Johan Petit gaat al strunkelend door het leven en daar puurt hij zijn verhalen uit. Die zijn vaak komisch, soms ontroerend, maar altijd vanuit het hart. Petit is al bijna twintig jaar een vaste waarde in het theatercircuit. In de schoot van het MartHa!tentatief maakte hij naam met voorstellingen als 'De Zoologie’ en 'Klein Jowanneke gaat dood'. Zijn laatste voorstelling Nu het nog kan is een ode aan zijn moeder en aan het leven. Petit brengt theater zoals goede stand-upcomedy zou moeten zijn, met af en toe een lach en een traan.
