Electronic artist iDJa presents a live ambient performance at NŌUA Gallery in Bodø city center. The concert marks the opening of Sámi Week 2026, taking place the Saturday before Sámi National Day.
:: What to expect ::
The performance is based on organic field recordings collected by the artist in Sápmi and the Himalaya region, two distant regions facing similar challenges linked to climate change and a changing environment.
Listeners will encounter joik alongside organic textures and synthetic layers, from synthesizers to recordings that range from raw to heavily processed.
The goal of the performance is to create a space for introspection and reflection on nature and a changing environment.

:: About the artist ::
iDJa's work addresses environmental change and explores connections between indigenous knowledge and contemporary sound. He has performed throughout Sápmi and in European capitals including Oslo, Stockholm, Prague, and Berlin.
His work has received support from notable organizations including the Sámi Parliament, Sámi Artist Council, Arts Council Norway, and Nordland County.
The event is supported by Bodø Municipality.
