DJ Tuskan, also known as Rory, is a prominent Jungle Drum & Bass producer and DJ hailing from Cornwall, UK. His musical journey began in the mid-1990s, sparked by a bootleg jungle cassette that ignited his passion for the genre. Over the years, Tuskan has developed a distinctive sound that blends classic funk breaks with hard-hitting drums and heavily synthesized basslines, drawing inspiration from the tech-step era and artists like Dillinja, Ulterior Motive, and Optical.
Tuskan's dedication to the craft has earned him support from renowned figures in the Drum & Bass scene, including Doc Scott, Ray Keith, and René LaVice. His tracks have been featured on labels such as Dread Recordings, AFT Records, and Necessary Bass. As a DJ, Tuskan is known for his dynamic sets that traverse the full spectrum of Jungle Drum & Bass, incorporating both classic and contemporary elements. His performances have graced stages at major festivals like NASS, Outlook in Croatia, and Glastonbury, as well as intimate venues across the UK and Europe.
Beyond his performances, Tuskan continues to contribute to the scene through his productions and collaborations, maintaining a strong presence in the South West's vibrant music community. His commitment to blending the old with the new ensures that his music resonates with both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
DJ Vincent Vega is a seasoned Drum & Bass DJ, producer and turntablist based in Cornwall. With a career spanning many years, he has become a prominent figure in the Southwest's underground music scene. Known for his dynamic sets that blend classic jungle rhythms with contemporary DnB, Vincent Vega brings a unique energy to the dancefloor.
A hallmark of his performances is the incorporation of turntablism, showcasing his skills in scratching and beat juggling. This approach not only pays homage to the roots of DJ culture but also adds a distinctive flair to his sets, setting him apart in the DnB community.
Vincent Vega has supported notable acts, including the Jungle Brothers during their live performance at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth. His involvement in events like the "House of Turntablism" highlights his commitment to the craft and his role in promoting turntablism within the electronic music scene.
Beyond live performances, he hosts "The Perfect Pitch Show" on NCB Radio every Saturday night, where he curates a mix of house, drum & bass, and jungle tracks. Additionally, his "Vincent's Vinyl Vault" show airs on Wednesdays, reflecting his deep appreciation for vinyl records and diverse music genres.
