Buckle up for a madcap, high-speed adventure around the world! Expect chaotic comedy, split-second costume changes, and a whirlwind of accents and antics as three fearless actors bring this global caper to life. The clock is ticking—can they make it back in time?
Ha Hum Ah invites you to a whirlwind theatrical journey in Around the World in 80 Days, a riotous stage adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic tale. With just three actors playing a multitude of characters, expect frantic energy, quickfire costume changes, and endless hilarity.
This is high-stakes adventure theatre that the whole family can enjoy. Can they pull it off? Can Fogg pull it off? Come find out in this laugh-out-loud, action-packed romp across the globe!
Unflappable English gentleman Phileas Fogg bets his fortune he can circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days. But with runaway trains, unexpected detours, and his bumbling valet Passepartout in tow—not to mention the ever-watchful Detective Fix on their trail—things don’t go quite to plan! From the foggy streets of London to the wilds of India and the lawless American West, Fogg and his loyal crew race against time and chaos.

Ha Hum Ah started in 2018 with a simple idea: to help artists bring their own work to life - with a little help from friends. Since then, we’ve become a creative home for actors, directors, writers, and makers of all kinds, working together to produce vibrant, original theatre that audiences love. In 2021, we branched out into film - adding even more ways to share stories with the world. Now, under the name Ha Hum Ah Productions CIC, we combine our passion for stage and screen into one big creative adventure. Whether it’s a laugh-out-loud play or a cinematic short, everything we do is about sparking imagination and bringing people together through great storytelling.

Hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available, as well as a reduced menu. Last orders will be at 7pm!

ℹ️ What to expect and what to bring:
➡️ Car parking charges still apply in the Cardinham Woods. The event will be about two hours. More information here:
https://www.forestryengland.uk/cardinham-woods. You can pay for the parking at the machines or using the RingGo App. The location is 31017.
➡️ The performance space is in the garden, behind the Woods Café - What3Words - ///unloaded.waltz.fully
➡️ The show will begin at 7:30pm, so give yourself time to get there and set up beforehand.
➡️ The Woods Cafe closes at 7pm, so feel free to come early for some of their delicious food and drinks.
➡️ The toilets are in the main car park, which is a 3-minute walk from the performance space.
➡️ Please bring your own chairs or blankets. We will have a few benches as a backup, if you don't have a camping chair.
➡️ The sun will be out! The space is surrounded by trees, so you may find a shady spot, but please bring sun hats and wear sun cream – and sometimes the shade can be chilly, so pack a jumper. ➡️ And sometime it does rain, so pack a rain coat! Umbrellas block the view behind you, so they’re not so good, unless you stand at the back.
➡️ What happens if it does rain? The show will go on! Unless it torrential thunderstorms, in which case we will cancel the show and let you know via email that morning at the latest.
➡️ There can be midges in the air…! They might not be out at this time, but if you have any bug spray, it might be worth packing that. We'll have some citronella incense sticks.
