Come join in with Crowd Chasers of North Alabama and cruise with us down to Guntersville Lake to meet up with the family of Alexa Walker. Donation minimum is $20 per car, (cash only please), but anything extra would be a blessing for the family. We are joining in as a group to help support the family with funeral expenses for the unexpected loss of their sweet daughter. If we get a large crowd to cruise in with us, we will be in contact with the local law enforcement for assistance throughout the cruise. Our community is heartbroken. Alexa Walker, just 17 years old, tragically lost her life. From the many posts pouring in, one thing is clear—Alexa was that friend. The one who showed up when no one else did. The one who gave without question. The one who made people feel seen and loved.
Seventeen. An entire life ahead of her, gone too soon.
We can’t begin to imagine the grief her parents are experiencing. The pain of losing a child is something no family should ever have to endure—and certainly not alone. On top of this unimaginable loss, they now face the overwhelming financial burden of funeral expenses, which can reach $10,000 or more. Most of us would struggle to cover an unexpected car repair—let alone the cost to bury a child.
In the coming days, Alexa’s family will be navigating heartbreak, making arrangements no parent should ever have to make, and trying to honor their daughter’s life in the midst of deep sorrow. The last thing they need to worry about is money.
