We’re proud to partner with United Way of the Lowcountry to support students in need through two impactful initiatives: Mimi’s Closet and Operation Backpack.
Operation Backpack works with local teachers to ensure every child starts the school year ready to learn by providing backpacks filled with school supplies and uniform shirts to local students in need.
Mimi’s Closet provides essential school and personal care items to students throughout the school year. These special teacher supply closets are stocked with donated goods and placed in preschool and elementary schools across the Lowcountry. Items include:
School supplies (notebooks, pencils, crayons, etc.)
Pullups for preschoolers
Toothpaste & toothbrushes
Sanitary wipes & hygiene products
Soap & first aid supplies
Uniforms (khaki pants and solid polo shirts)
All donations are appreciated, and larger sizes—including husky, size 14 and up, and XL youth shirts—are especially needed to ensure every student is equipped and confident this school year. If you're able to donate in these sizes, it will make a big difference!
