Homeschool Enrichment: Pastured Rabbits

Ages 5-13

Join us for a morning of education and exploration on the farm! For this enrichment day, we will be focusing on pastured rabbits. This is a great opportunity for youth to get hands-on experience with livestock, and have a fun time while doing so. We believe that one of the most important things we can do is help prepare our youth to be better consumers, stewards of the land, and to give them a little more gumption.

While learning about pastured rabbits, kids will have the opportunity to learn about seasonal forage for rabbits, observe how we use our Rabbitat, see how rabbits get their identification tattoos, do an art project that expands on rabbit anatomy, and help out with rabbit-related chores.

9:45am Check In & Drop Off

10:00am Learn about seasonal forage and pick plants to feed to rabbits
Rabbitat Move
See difference in before and after rabbit impact
Feed rabbits vegetation and produce

11:30am Head to hutches
Rabbit tattoo demonstration

12:15pm Lunch & Free time
1:00pm Rabbit anatomy craft
2:00pm Pick Up
