Experience the Magic of "Cave of Lights" This December at Cave of the Mounds
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, Cave of the Mounds invites you to celebrate the season underground. Beginning November 28th through January 31st, visitors can experience the magic of the holidays like never before, with beautiful light displays illuminating parts of the cave’s unique formations.
The highlight of the event will be the breathtaking High Tunnel, where twinkling lights will cascade down from the high ceiling, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable holiday photo. This enchanting experience will be part of every cave tour in December & January, offering guests the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Cave of the Mounds while enjoying a festive twist.
"Cave of Lights" provides a delightful escape from the cold winter weather, with the cave’s constant 50-degree temperature providing a cozy, comfortable environment for visitors of all ages.
Tours will run daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with the last entry at 4 PM. Please note that Cave of the Mounds will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
