“Echoes of Home” - CSP Quartet

Our season opening concerts explore the idea of home, and features Shelley Washington’s “Middle Ground”, which the composer describes as “my refuge born from the land living in my heart”, as well as folk song and dance settings by the Danish String Quartet. The heart of the program is Dvorak’s famous “American” Quartet, which he wrote on a visit to Iowa while homesick for his native Prague.

The concert is followed by a catered reception, and all proceeds go to our free education program!
