Do you want to plant trees but don't know where to start? Discuss your questions with our in-house and guest tree experts. This is the perfect opportunity to learn everything you need to know about planting strong, healthy trees that will be enjoyed for generations to come. We hope to have members joining us from Arbor Masters, Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Roots of Change (read on below for more info).

Roots of Change is working on a project to creaite a better life for families in Malawi by building tree nurseries. Malawi is a small country in Africa that has very little access to energy sources. 90% of their country relies on nature, specifically trees, to get the energy they need for survival.
The only issue with this is Malawi's huge deforestation problem. A Rotary club in Malawi is working to build nurseries to output tree seedlings into the community. This project has existed for 3 years.
Their goal for this year is to output a total of half a million tree seedlings. The trees being outputted include Acacia which regrow themselves and are a great source of fire wood. Bamboo is multi-purposeful and fast-growing.
Lastly, fruit trees will be outputted because they are less likely to be cut down. After all, they are a source of food. My team and I want to assist them in achieving this goal because we believe in making a difference in people's life who are less fortunate. We are working to fundraise a total of $1000 to build a nursery that will output 88,212 tree seedlings.
