Franklin’s Journey : The Start and the Sacrifice
Since 1907, Franklin residents have gathered on Memorial Day to honor their neighbors who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Join us and be part of the 118th annual town gathering. All are welcome! Ceremonies Parade Picnic Road Race Softball Game Car Show

Memorial Day Schedule
8:00 AM - Road Race begins benefitting Disabled Veterans.
(Starts at Giddings Park to Route 207 to Under the Mountain Road to Plains Road to Route 207 to Giddings Park)
8:45 AM - Laying of Wreaths and Prayer at War Memorials (Meetinghouse Hill Road)
9:00AM - Plains Cemetery Ceremony
(Under the Mountain Road)
9:30 AM - Parade Line Up - Ayers Road

10:00 AM - Parade steps off from Ayers Road and continues to Pautipaug Cemetery
10:30 AM - Pautipaug Cemetery Ceremony
(Route 207)
10:40 AM - Veteran’s Park Memorial Ceremony
(DPW Driveway)
11:00 AM - Pavilion Ceremony and light picnic
(Giddings Park, Route 207)
12:15 PM - Softball Game at the little league field. Join either the FD team or the Rec Dept.team!
*Please note the Memorial Day Observances are not dog-friendly events*
